An immersive expansion for Diablo IV

Diablo® IV: Vessel of Hatred™ is Blizzard Entertainment’s multiplayer first expansion pack for Diablo IV, an action RPG. This chapter leads players on a quest through ancient jungles to find Neyrelle, enriching the dark and immersive experiences of the main game. This downloadable content is available on PC and gaming consoles.

In Diablo® IV: Vessel of Hatred™, the debut of the Spiritborn class adds a fresh dynamic to the Diablo series. Players can utilize the unique abilities of this class to navigate challenges and protect Neyrelle. Remember that the Diablo IV base game is required to access this new downloadable content pack.

Explore expanded zones with companions

An exciting inclusion in Vessel of Hatred™ is a new region to explore called Nahantu. This vast and vibrant region might ring a bell for Diablo II enthusiasts as it first appeared in Act III, although it was only known then as "Kehjistan". As players traverse Nahantu, they will discover new dungeons, take on Strongholds, and navigate the conflicts among warring tribes throughout the game.

Another noteworthy feature is the ability to team up with mercenaries as allies, which completely changes how you experience quests as you explore them. These companions offer unique abilities that can assist you in both combat and exploration. They also become stronger as the game progresses. Additionally, this expansion pack introduces new skills, Paragon Boards, and Legendary Glyphs—providing even more depth to the gameplay.

This DLC introduces a unique multi-faceted dungeon—a first for the Diablo® IV series. It brings a co-op mode that encourages players to team up with their friends, or they can also play solo and complete various challenges. Additionally, pets can now serve as sidekicks and help you gather gold and materials in this new pack as you journey through the dangerous world of Sanctuary.

A new playable class and region

One of the most exciting additions in Vessel of Hatred is the introduction of a new playable class, the Abyssal Templar. Drawing power from a mysterious blend of forbidden magic and martial discipline, the Abyssal Templar is a hybrid class specializing in powerful melee attacks while summoning dark spirits to control the battlefield. This class offers a highly customizable skill tree, allowing players to tailor their Templar to focus more on physical prowess, dark sorcery, or a combination of both.

The class feels powerful, versatile, and thematically aligned with the darker tones of the expansion, offering a playstyle that complements Diablo IV's more methodical, strategic combat. Moreover, the expansion introduces a new explorable region called the Blightlands, a festering wasteland where the corruption of Mephisto's influence is felt in every corner. The Blightlands is vast and unforgiving, filled with deadly terrain, treacherous enemies, and environmental hazards that keep players on their toes.

Blizzard has done a remarkable job in making a region that feels alive and oppressive, encouraging players to explore while staying vigilant. Within the Blightlands, players can encounter new events, mini-dungeons, and world bosses that offer exciting challenges. The region's atmosphere, combined with its dynamic design, ensures that every journey into its depths feels fresh and dangerous. However, while it introduces intriguing lore, the main storyline is relatively short. Players may find themselves completing the campaign portion of the expansion fairly quickly, which can be disappointing for those hoping for a more substantial narrative arc.

A thrilling expansion experience

Diablo® IV: Vessel of Hatred™ takes the Diablo experience to new heights with its blend of fresh content and innovative features. This expansion deepens the storyline and introduces cooperative gameplay elements that enrich the overall experience. It also raises the stakes, pushing players into darker territories, both in terms of narrative and gameplay. For those looking to extend their journey in the dark and treacherous world of Sanctuary, this DLC is a must-have addition.
